Looks like the debate is heating up between Security Experts internationally and Oracle’s Java software, the ‘victim’ or a myriad of continuing cyber attacks since last year. Leading the pack with 50% of all cyber attacks, Java poses a legitimate threat to network security at all levels, and Oracle is(not admitting to) having a hard time keeping up.
Instructions for disabling Java can be found here. This course of action is recommended for anyone not using Java for any essential functions. Contact your IT Administrator first to confirm. These exploits are not being addressed in a timely enough manner, prompting action.
